Accessibility Statement
Effective date: September 2026
Ubuntu is about including everyone, and that includes how this site is built. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA.
What we do
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- A “skip to content” link is the first item on every page.
- All meaningful images have descriptive alternative text.
- Headings follow a logical order and form fields have visible labels.
- Text and background colours are chosen for readable contrast at normal sizes.
- The layout works from small phones upward and supports browser zoom.
Known limits
Sample pages from the book and journal are photographs of printed pages, so their inner text is not selectable. The alternative text describes what each page shows, and we are happy to send an accessible text version on request.
Tell us about a barrier
If something here is hard to use, email [email protected] and we will fix it or give you the information another way.
